Oatman, Arizona has a colorful history as a mining town. Now the small town is known for the burros that roam the streets, descendants of the burros used long ago as pack animals. This painting captures the views along the road that winds through rolling hills, buttes and views of mountains on the way to this quirky village.
I started my career with a Bachelor's Degree in in Art Education. However, l later earned my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. For most of my teaching career I mostly taught preschool children with special needs. Even while I was a teacher I tried to keep in touch with my artistic side. Now that I am retired from full time teaching, I have been devoting more time to my drawing and painting. Also I give private art lessons. For most of my adult life I have lived in the southwest. I love sharing God's beauty with others through art.
